Sometimes, a Strat build just comes together in a magical way. This Strat falls into that category. We acquired a very clean 2000 American Standard Strat that only had a less-than-desirable set set of EMG Select single coils and an odd color pickguard. All of us here at CG loved the way the Strat felt and handled but the electronics just weren't giving us what we wanted. Luckily, we had also recently acquired a loaded pickguard from a 2005 Fender American Deluxe Strat.....you can see what happened next.
This Strat rocks! The neck is straight, fretwear is minimal, the truss rod works in both directions, tuners are solid, neck pocket is clean, the body hasn't been routed, play-wear on the body is minimal and less than the average amount for a guitar that is 22 years old. The original orange sticker that covers the tremolo arm socket is still installed. A trem arm has never even been on this guitar! One is not included with this sale.
The 2005 American Deluxe loaded guard was unmodified. This is a first-gen S-1 setup with SCN Noiseless Pickups. If you look close, you can see the ghosted image of the S-1 Arrow logo and an American Flag in the pickguard. We tried hard to make it noticeable in the photos... most people would never notice in person. The pickguard is a goldish parchment color and looks great on the gloss black body.
The original molded hardshell case is included.
We gave it a fret polish, thorough cleaning, great setup as a hardtail, and new strings. This one is ready to rock!
