For your consideration, a lovely 1964 Epiphone FT-30 Caballero that plays and sounds great! This is an authentic "blue-label" Epiphone that mas manufactured at the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, not one of the various reissues.
When we acquired the guitar, cheap chrome tuners had been installed. We removed them and installed a period-correct vintage set that fit perfectly, but there are leftover visible mounting holes from the previous set. The truss rod works in both directions and the acorn nut still has all of its corners. Fret-wear is minimal and not affecting playability. The neck is straight with no issues, and the joint at the body is still firmly attached with no signs of previous repair. The body is in great shape. We have seen lots of these with cracked tops and side splits due to the solid mahogany construction, but this example is crack-free. We have examined the guitar with a blacklight and see no signs of abuse, just normal wear and tear. the pickguard and binding are original and intact. The bridge is just barely starting to pull up in the middle. We have it tuned to standard pitch with D'Addario Custom Lights and it holds pitch and does not seem to be actively worsening. The guitar plays great and has a dark punchy tone. A piezo pickup has been added with a strap-button endpin. On the rear of the guitar, there is a red spot that appears to be in the lacquer and original to the guitar. No case is included.
