We are peeling another early Grammer out of the Gower and Grammer Guitar Archive to make room for a few even more historically important examples, and this is one we know we are going to miss. We searched a long time to find a clean early natural example like this, and we are hoping it lands in a loving home.

This beauty comes from the first run of Grammer production, back when RG&G built fewer than 1,000 Grammer guitars in total. It is an all-natural maple example, often called Blonde, with a solid spruce top, solid maple back and sides, and a maple neck. For us, this is the best wood combination on the early RG&G models. It just feels right, both visually and tonally.

This one is 100% original with no mods. The neck is straight, fretwear is minimal, the truss rod works as it should, and it plays great. Best of all, it does not need and has never had a neck reset, which is a big deal on an early Grammer and honestly on just about any 60-plus-year-old dreadnought. It has great playing action as it sits, with plenty of saddle height left if the next owner wants to go even lower.

There are no finish touchups and no structural repairs, just a clean early Grammer that has survived the years remarkably well. The interior label is missing, but based on this specific combination of features, it would fall in the approximate serial number range of 1350 to 1850. The original hardshell case is included.

A really fine early Grammer and a hard one to replace.

Available for a test drive in our Jamestown, Kentucky showroom, and we ship worldwide. Let us know if you have any questions. If you're a big fan of the brand and want to sit and compare this with a few dozen other Grammers, give us a heads up and we'll pull out some treasures for you to check out.

Weight: 3lbs 8oz
