For your consideration, a 1972 Harmony H54/1 Rocket!
If you are well-versed in old Harmony models, and especially the Rocket series, you are aware that sometimes they just break down. The plastics crack, the tailpieces warp, the electronics fail, etc... Great guitars, for sure, but they can rarely be used as a "daily driver" because of how fragile they are. Replacement parts are getting harder to find!
This one is ready to ROCK and be PLAYED! You can even play it heavily if you'd like. There are plenty of changed parts on this one, making it the perfect player's grade Rocket! This is an affordable way to get into a real vintage American-made thinline that can actually be USED!
The tuners, tailpiece, pickguard, strap buttons, and toggle switch surround are all new replacement units. Custom made bone nut! The pickups are modern Gold-foil Moustaches. They look and sound like the originals, but are a little bit hotter and definitely quieter. All of the other electrical components have been replaced with modern high-quality parts.
There was a slight fracture at the input jack that has been professionally re-glued and reinforced. This is a common weak spot on these models!
The fingerboard has the typical divots at the first few frets, typical of any vintage guitar that has been played. These do not affect playability! The whole guitar shows plenty of wear and tear, but no signs of abuse. Again, this is a player's grade guitar, not a museum piece. It has been played hard, but upgraded properly with the goal of being a road-worthy instrument that is dependable and won't break down.
The neck is straight and the guitar plays fantastic with low action. Please see photos for condition and let us know if you have any questions.
An older chipboard case is included. It isn't the best fit, but it serves its purpose.
