This uncommonly cool little combo amp is fitted with pine and Baltic birch into a vintage oak Pepsi Cola crate from the 1960's. The amp is completely point-to-point hand wired and sounds great. This amp has a single input, a volume control, and a tone control in a custom hand-punched aluminum chassis and uses, a Hammond power transformer, an 8-ohm output transformer, and Switchcraft jacks. It uses a compliment of three tubes; a 6X4 rectifier tube powering a 6KZ8 preamp tube, and a 6BK5 pentode power tube capable of 3.5 watts driving a new 8-inch Peavey speaker. There is a jack on the back of the amp that allows you to plug in an extension cabinet which will automatically disable the built-in speaker. It's "only" 3.5-watts, but it's plenty loud enough for small venues, practice or recording. Finally, it is wired with a three-wire grounded power cord so you don't have to be afraid you'll electrocute yourself every time you touch your strings. No transistors or semiconductors were used ensuring a completely authentic vintage tube sound. Hunter Amplifiers are 100% handmade in the US!
