As you have probably heard, the healthcare community is being hit extremely hard in unforeseen ways by this pandemic. Frontline healthcare workers are near and dear to our hearts (my wife and guitar shop co-founder is a Nurse Practitioner). One problem we kept hearing about is how uncomfortable the standard mask with the elastic straps is to wear for extended periods. We kept seeing pictures of nurses with their ears worn raw due to chaffing from the mask straps.
Last week, we began manufacturing an adjustable strap extender to reposition the elastic straps for more comfort. We are offering these strap extenders for FREE to the healthcare and first responder communities.
Our priority is to provide these to those in need in our own backyard, (Russell, Adair, Pulaski, etc...) but we will also do our best to accommodate those elsewhere in the state of KY that can use them. We wish we could supply the whole world, but our manufacturing capacity is limited.
If you or someone you love, or even an office full of people that you love, can use these, please contact us and we will arrange dropping them off or shipping them to you. They are also available for curbside pickup at our showroom on the Jamestown Square. Please let us know how many you need and we'll make it happen.
We plan to expand our production into face masks with removable filter cartridges in the near future and are prepared to start making ventilator spare parts if our community's needs shift to needing those.
