Refund policy

New Items

For brand new items, we offer a 30-day return period on all hard parts and accessories, a 14-day return period for new electronics like amps and pedals, and 7 days for string instruments.

 

Used & Vintage Items

For used and vintage gear, we offer a 3-day return period. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with all accompanying paperwork and accessories, and in its original packaging.

All returns have a 10% restocking fee. All returns are processed back to the original payment method.

 

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@cumberlandguitars.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Financing

Cumberland Guitars offers ShopPay Financing on in-store and online purchases for approved applicants.

  • Purchases between $50 to $17,500 USD are eligible for installments.
  • Purchases between $50 to $1,000 USD are eligible for 4 interest-free, bi-weekly payments.
  • Purchases between $150 to $17,500 are eligible for longer monthly payment plans with interest
  • (3, 6, and 12 month terms).
  • These rates are not guaranteed, customers will be shown the financing options available to them upon approval through ShopPay.

 

Layaway

Any non-consignment item in the store can be put on 90-day layaway with a 10% down payment of the total amount, after tax. You have 90 days to pay off the remaining balance, on your own schedule, and the item is yours to take home as once paid in full. Any items not paid-in-full after 90 days will be subject to a 10% restocking fee, and any remaining balances will be returned to the customer.

 

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

 

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

 

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
