1964 Gibson LG-1 Acoustic - Sunburst - w/ Case
For your consideration, an absolutely lovely 1964 Gibson LG-1!
We're fans of these little vintage budget-friendly acoustics. They don't punch like a full-size Dreadnaught, but they have a charming warmth to them that makes them fantastic songwriting tools and great couch or front porch pickers. They're compact and comfy, and the sound is on the wooly side of the 1960s American folk strummer spectrum. This guitar has been played but not abused. The neck is straight, the original Kluson Deluxe tuners work great, the truss rod works in both directions, and the original frets have a ton of life left in them and are not affecting intonation or playability. The beautiful original lacquer sunburst finish looks great, and we really like how this guitar looks with the added white 1960s J45 pickguard. The guitar has an old neck reset and several old crack repairs and the accompanying finish touch-ups that come with that type of repair. The original "tone-sucking" plastic bridge has been replaced with a proper Rosewood bridge. This is a considerable tone and reliability upgrade and it looks stock! Overall, the guitar is clean, and these repairs are to be expected on Gibson guitars from this era.
A newer hardshell case is included.
