1998 Ovation USA Adamas 1581-5 Black w/OHSC
For your consideration, a super nice 1998 Ovation USA Adamas 1581-5!
This is peak Ovation. We love the gold woven into the top. It's a subtle touch!
This USA Adamas 1581 is 100% original with no mods or repairs or signs of abuse. The neck is straight, the truss rod works in both directions, and it plays like an electric guitar while producing a symphonic range of sound. Seriously, the voice on this is unreal. I have described acoustic guitars for decades using words like "soft" and "boomy", but never have I been able to say that a guitar has both of those qualities at the same time. It booms, but quietly. Wild! Plugged in, it makes studio-quality sound, as expected. The frets are worn, but not affecting intonation or playability. You could recrown them someday if needed, but we left it as-is because of how well the guitar plays. Some notes past the 12th fret choke out a little bit, which we see regularly on Ovation models. There are a few fixes for this... raising the action or creating some fallaway in the upper frets are the most common. The original hardshell case and paperwork are included.
