1964 Tosca Thunderstick - Valco Supro - Short-Scale - Red - w/ Original Case
Check out this sweet little Tosca Thunderstick!
This model was built by Valco, the same folks who were making the Supro and Airline branded instruments. We see this model pop up with a variety of different brand names on the headstock, but don't come across Tosca models too often. They're cool little guitars that are really compact and surprisingly fun to play. Chunky necks and a slinky string feel!
This one is in great shape. The Tosca badge is missing but it's shadow still remains. The tuners, nut, frets, are all original and the neck is straight with no issues. The original electronics are untouched and work perfectly. The pickup is a single coil that looks like a humbucker from the outside, with a master volume control and a tone control that is activated by the little switch. Neat! The guitar has been setup and plays great with low action and fresh strings. The original case and strap are included.
There is a Zeigler Music Co. decal on the headstock. They were located in the Chicago area, not far from where this guitar was built. The shop had a good run, from 1953 to 2014. Neat!
