1976 Gretsch 7632 - Corvette Deluxe - w/ OHSC
Do you know what we love to do? Geek out over oddball Gretsch models!
Some of the most-quirky and most under-appreciated Gretsch models came out during the Baldwin-era of Gretsch ownership, and this one, the Model 7632 Corvette Deluxe, does not disappoint! The playing experience is almost SG-like, but more substantial feeling in the hands. It feels like a high-quality instrument and is more versatile sounding than one would probably imagine. This guitar has a straight neck, a truss rod that works in both directions, and only minimal wear on the original frets: not enough to affect intonation or playability. The bridge is a Leo Quann, and the pickups have been replaced.
There is evidence of a previously installed strap button on the lower horn. A blacklight scan of the body showed no signs of cracks forming and no signs of previously repaired cracks or issues. The original case is in great shape, also.
The action is low from a recent setup and the strings are fresh.
