Think of all the thunder you could lay down with this bad bass!

Seriously, this bass rocks. It RIPS and it isn't even a Ripper Bass, it's a G-3, the 3-pickup version of the Grabber. This bass has a lot going for it... it's a first-year model, which is always cool. It's in fantastic condition, which is getting harder and harder to find in one of these and I'm sure you've probably noticed that already. The best part is that it is one of the early Alder body models, not the more-common Maple-bodied version. When they are this color (Satin Natural) you have to look closely to tell the difference. There's a lot of Maple ones out there and they usually weigh significantly more. This one weighs in at 7lbs 14oz. making it super comfortable for a full session or long gig. Under 8 lbs!!! The bass is very original.... the toggle switch has been changed, and one of the pots was bad. Instead of replacing the whole pot, we opened the casing of the original and replaced just the guts with brand new CTS guts and then reattached the original casing. The result is a pot that works like a brand new pot, but still has the original solder joints still intact and still has a visible 1975 date code. Neat, huh!? The broken guts of the original pot are stored in a bag and are included with the bass in case you ever want to swap back. The only other changed part is the pair of screws that hold the bridge cover in place. We have included a pair of screws that are the same size and shape of the originals and have the right patina to not look like shiny new screws. They look original, we just really like being thorough and honest! The rest of the bass is original and in great shape. The original trio of pickups all sound fat and healthy like they should. The neck is straight, the truss rod works in both directions, and the original frets feel great. The neck is worn-in, but overall the bass definitely has low miles. No signs of abuse, and a blacklight scan showed no cracks or signs of previous repairwork, and there are no extra routes under the original pickguard. It's just a no-nonsense, lightweight, clean Grabber G-3, with the original case!
