For your consideration, a 2016 Gibson Custom Shop LPR-8S 1958 Les Paul Reissue in Faded Tobacco Burst. This is a great R8. Good weight, killer color, a beautiful top, and all the sound and feel you want from one of these.
Built to Gibson’s Standard Historic specs, this one has the more traditional R8 recipe but with a top that has way more movement than you usually expect to see. It has a really nice chatoyant quality that changes as the light moves across it, and the Faded Tobacco Burst suits it perfectly.
The guitar remains all original and has clearly been well cared for. It has that substantial but balanced feel a good Les Paul should have, and it sounds every bit as good as it looks.
The original Certificate of Authenticity is included along with some paperwork, the blank plastic toggle-switch cavity cover, and the original Gibson reissue Lifton-style hardshell case.
This is the whole package — great weight, great top, great color, great sound. Just a really strong R8.
