1957 Supro 1400E Supreme Lap Steel - Rare Black Model - w/ Case

For your consideration, a slick 1957 Supro 1400E Supreme Lap Steel, in BLACK!!!

We're big Supro fans.... we always have a a handful of vintage Supro/Valco amps, guitars, and lap steels in the store and we've been Authorized Dealers of new Supro gear since we opened our doors. We have actively looked for Supro stuff at gutar shows and on the internet for a long time. We see a lot of Supro Lap Steels and this is the first black Supreme that we have had our hands on. We see them frequently in Red and White, but not black. This is the original wrapped plastic finish, not a paint job. This Steel is in mostly original condition. The original pickup is healthy, and the stock guts all work as they should and have been flushed already, so they work without crackling. The original knobs are missing but a set of Hofner tea-cup style knobs have been installed. They actually look pretty good on this model! The original Amphenol jack has been replaced with a female 1/4" jack on a cord. Neat!  The original case is in rough shape, but whoaaaaa it's cool.   :) 

This Steel sounds fantastic! It growls, howls, wails, sings, and cries!
