For your consideration, a 2004 Fender Standard Telecaster in black on black. Hard to go wrong with a Standard MIM Tele from this era. Bang for the buck, they are tough to beat. Simple, reliable, familiar, and ready to work, these have earned a loyal following for good reason.
This one has clearly been played, but it has not been abused or neglected. There are some finish chips along the outer edges that have been lightly touched up to help them blend in a bit better, but nothing here changes the fact that this is just a good honest Tele with plenty of life left in it. The neck is straight, the truss rod works in both directions, and fretwear is minimal with no effect on intonation or playability.
It has been freshly set up with new strings by our Fender-authorized in-house repair shop, and it is playing with low action and great feel. It is mostly original, with the only changes being straplock-ready strap buttons and a hot Odessa rail-style compact humbucker in the bridge position, which gives it a little extra attitude when called for. No case is included.
