For your consideration, a charming little Hawaiian Lap Steel acoustic guitar from Bronson Music Company!

Detroit wasn't really a hotbed for Hawaiian Culture in the 1930s, but that didn't stop the Bronson Music Company from launching a mail-order Hawaiian music correspondence course complete with starter instrument. These Bronson-branded guitars were built by Regal (later Harmony), and are the same quality as the other Regal-built offerings from this era. This guitar is playable and sounds awesome! It has a fantastic warmth and sings nicely, but also growls if you dig in. Just the way we like it! There was a top/side seam separation that was reglued. Whoever did it did not get it perfect, but it is a solid repair and and old repair that has remained stable for a long time. The bridge has been reglued, typical of any guitar from this period that has been made playable. Fret numbers and tuning hints were marked on the fingerboard. They looked old, so we left them, but you could remove them if you wanted. The guitar is setup for Open E tuning and sounds fantastic in other tunings as well. An old and loose-fitting chipboard case is included.
