1959 Gibson ES-125 - Electric Archtop Hollowbody - w/Case
For your consideration, a 1959 Gibson ES-125 in Sunburst with a newer hardshell case. These old ES-125s are easy guitars to love: simple, lightweight, comfortable, and built around one great P-90 that does a whole lot more than the basic layout might suggest.
This one is a particularly nice example on the cleaner side of the spectrum. There are no cracks and no finish touchups, and the electronics remain 100% original. The hardware is original aside from a set of replacement tuners.
The neck is straight, the truss rod works in both directions, and the guitar plays well. Plugged in, the original P-90 sounds fantastic — warm and woody when you back things down, with plenty of bite and attitude when you dig in.
A newer hardshell case is included. The fit is a little loose, but it is still a nice, sturdy case and does the job well.
A clean, honest late-’50s Gibson hollowbody with the important stuff still intact and all the sound you hope for from an old ES-125.
