Check out this cool old Alamo Jet Lap Steel! This steel, a Model 2490 from 1959, is one of the best bang-for-the-buck values out there in a true vintage lap steel. They sound killer, look killer, keep going up in value, and are surprisingly affordable! That's a winning combo!
This Alamo Jet is all original, aside from a set of period-correct replacement tuners that was added a long time ago. The original pickup is nice and hot without being too much. It sings, but can growl with ease, if needed. Check out that old lacquer finish and how it is aging gracefully and doesn't look abused. This steel is going to make someone really happy!
