1967 TrueTone Western Auto - Super Auditorium Archtop - Kay Built - Acoustic - Sunburst
We've always had a soft spot for the old catalog-brand and department store archtops, and this True Tone from the 1967 does not disappoint! This model was built in Chicago by the fine folks at Kay, and sold through Western Auto stores. This one is in all-original condition with no changed parts and no modifications. The neck is straight, but does have the required relief needed for playing properly. This was made before adjustable truss rods were commonplace. The action is low and the guitar plays well. The bridge could be lowered for even lower action if needed. No cracks, no signs of previous repairs, and no signs of any future structural issues. The guitar has the typical scuffs and playwear that you should expect on an instrument of this age, but no signs of abuse and it appears to have been properly maintained and stored throughout its life. The neck is nice and chunky and is firmly attached to the body. No case is included.
