1964 Gibson GA-8T Discoverer Tremolo Amp
Check out this cool old Gibson amp! The GA-8T Discoverer Tremolo is one of our favorite Gibson amp models, and one that is for sure underappreciated.
This one looks rough, but underneath the hood is a fully serviced, fully safe, fully functional, and fully reliable amp. New caps, some replaced odds and ends like small resistors, newer tubes, a grounded 3-prong power cable... all of the common issues and fail points have been addressed, resulting in a ready-to-use vintage amp! The speaker is a late-model Jensen. The original footswitch is included and works as it should. The little bracket in the rear of the amp to hold the pedal is intact and a pretty good idea. Original transformers! The knobs have been replaced. The logo is missing. The handle has been replaced (several times, it seems). It looks beat, but it's a sleeper! This amp rocks!
