1968 KAPA Continental KA-CO - Candy Apple Red - w/ Case
KAPA - a forgotten American guitar brand. It's wild to think that the KAPA folks made over 100,000 guitars in such a short period, and it's rare that we find someone who recognizes the brand name when we have one. They were cool... assembled in Maryland and made of US-made parts mixed with some imported parts from Germany and later, Japan. Slab body, Fender-style tremolo, and all the 60's garage rock vibes you would ever need!
This KA-CO, the KAPA Continental, is Candy Apple Red. It's in great shape and one of the most complete and original KAPA models we've had our hands on. No changed parts, and the only modification is one we performed: we added a ground wire and a new tone cap to make it work properly and quietly. Otherwise, the guitar is stock and all electronics function as they should. The neck is straight, the truss rod works in both direction, and the guitar plays great from a recent setup and fresh strings. It is ready to be played! The original chipboard case is included.
