2004 Ibanez AS73-BS-12-01 Artcore Semi-Hollow - Sunburst w/ Upgrades and Case
Check out this sweet semi-hollow from Ibanez!
This is a low-milage AS73 Artcore in Sunburst. The guitar is in great shape with only minimal signs of ever being played and no signs of abuse or neglect. A straight neck, minimal fretwear. a truss rod that works in both directions, and a fresh setup and new strings. It is ready to be played! No cracks, no excuses!
The electronics were given a mega upgrade with a pair of Seymour Duncan Screamin' Demon humbuckers. The name Screamin' Demon sounds like it will be a high-gain pickup but actually they have a medium output. It's a branding issue....they're great pickups for all sorts of not-heavy music but people pass over them because they think it will lead to a super heavy and distorted sound. They sound KILLER in this guitar, and it easily nails all sorts of Jazzy and Funky tones and it's a total Blues and Rock machine. Further enhancing the new pickups is a set of Seymour Duncan Triple Shot pickup mounting rings. If you aren't familiar with this setup, take a close look at the cream-colored pickup rings... they each have two mini-switches that allow each pickup to be used in Series or Parallel, or coil-split to either the inside or outside coils, giving this guitar a TON of sonic options. These rings are stealthy and super easy to use. Slick!
Also included is a very nice Ibanez Hardshell Case. I know this model of guitar is only $500 brand new, but this one has a $169 case, $240 in pickups, and $90 in pickup rings, making it an exceptional value for this price, especially for a clean example that is 20 years old!
