c.1928 Regal Parlor Guitar - X-Braced - Ready to Play! - w/ Case
For your consideration, a very nice and totally playable c.1928 Regal!
Small bodied, some call it Parlor-sized. We are not 100% what model this is, as the Regal production is quite tangled, but it is one that was aimed to the more professional and serious player. The guitar is X-braced! All braces are intact. The bridge is old and securely attached, but it does not appear to be original. There are small holes in the butt of the guitar indicating that it likely had a trapeze tailpiece at some point. There are several cracks in the solid top and back that have been sealed. The neck has been reset. All of these structural repairs appear to have been done a long time ago and they have all held up well. The guitar is solid and feels substantial. The neck is chunky with a soft V shape. Slotted headstock with what appears to be the original tuners that have replaced buttons. The guitar plays great with low action and it has a surprisingly strong sound. That's the X brace doing work! :)
Check out the original inlaid colored wooden strips in the purfling and soundhole rosette. We don't see this too often!!!
An old chipboard case is included.
