Axe Bass - Faux Gene Simmons Cort Bass - w/ Mannequin

For your consideration, a wonderfully ridiculous Gene Simmons-inspired Axe Bass display package, complete with bass and mannequin. To be clear right up front: this is not a real Cort Axe Bass, and the signature is printed on — it is not an authentic Gene Simmons autograph. What it is, however, is a very convincing tribute that absolutely looks the part.

The bass itself has low miles and plays alright. Nobody is buying this because it is the finest bass ever built, but hanging on the wall or standing next to the mannequin, it does its job extremely well.

And then there is the mannequin.

He apparently started life as Dracula before somebody decided he had a higher calling and transformed him into Gene Simmons with full face paint and a long, messy black wig. Underneath the wig, his lovely neat molded Dracula hair is still very much present. The mannequin stands on a wooden wheeled base, the torso separates into two pieces, and the arms pop off to make moving him slightly less absurd.

This whole setup is pure display-piece fun. Put it in a music room, bar, studio, guitar shop, man cave, KISS collection, or anywhere else that could use a full-size Demon holding an axe-shaped bass.

Because of the size and general ridiculousness of shipping a Gene Simmons/Dracula mannequin, we would strongly prefer local pickup. If you absolutely need it shipped, get in touch and we can figure out what that adventure looks like.
