Recently brought back to the bench by Bob Hunter himself — not for repair, but refinement — this amp returned to us even stronger. A little louder. A little bolder. And even more alive under your fingers.
The KenoVerb 10SE was built to bridge the gap players have wrestled with for decades: the thin, boxy “bedroom amp” on one end and the overly loud, back-breaking stage monster on the other. This amp lives squarely in the sweet spot.
At its core is a 6L6GC power tube running in pure Single-Ended Class A. It delivers approximately 9 watts of clean power — but these are real tube watts. The result is a massive, three-dimensional soundstage with tight low end, articulate mids, and sparkling top-end clarity. Dig in and it responds with authority. Roll back and it blooms with harmonic richness.
A rear-panel Negative Feedback switch gives you two distinct personalities in one compact chassis:
Engage it for a tighter, punchier, American-voiced clean platform with impressive headroom and excellent pedal compatibility.
Disengage it and the amp loosens up into a more touch-sensitive, tweed-inspired growl — dynamic, expressive, and perfect for blues, rock, and recording sessions.
The tube-driven spring reverb is the real thing — lush, dimensional, and organic. From subtle ambience to full surf-style wash, it sits beautifully in the mix without overpowering your core tone.
Inside, you’ll find four 12AX7 preamp tubes and an EZ81 tube rectifier delivering natural sag and compression that only vintage-style circuits can provide. The 12" Weber 12F150 speaker handles the output with clarity and punch.
The cabinet is crafted from solid pine with finger-jointed corners for resonance and durability, wrapped in cocoa-brown Tolex and reinforced for life on the road. At just over 30 pounds, it’s passenger-seat friendly but fully capable of holding its own on a club stage.
This is the biggest “small amp” you’re likely to play.
