1940 Harmony Patrician H1406 - Archtop Acoustic Guitar - w/Case
For your consideration, a 1940 Harmony Patrician H1406 archtop acoustic with case. This one is a true survivor and a great example of just how good these old Harmonys can be when they have made it through the years intact and well cared for.
It is all original aside from the tuners, which are old and appear to be at least period-correct. The guitar has low miles overall, no signs of abuse, and feels tight and substantial in the hands. The ornate headstock overlay is a particularly neat detail and gives it a little extra visual punch.
Even better, this is one of the better-sounding Patricians we have encountered. It has a big, full voice with plenty of warmth and presence, and it plays great with low action. A clean, solid old archtop that sounds every bit as good as it looks.
